THE Library is OPEN today, Thursday, August 6th. Power has been restored.
The Library is excited to announce that Contactless-Curbside service and Limited In-Person Service (by Advance Appointment Only) is now available on the following schedule:
Beginning Monday, August 3rd, patrons may visit the Library in Person, by Appointment, to Browse for Books and other Library Materials. Browsing time is limited to 30 minutes per patron per day. Please click HERE to make an appointment Online or Call the library at 973-402-0900.
The Public Computers, Printer, Scanner, Photocopier, Study Tables and Carrels will not be available for patron use. Curbside Pickup will still be available. Returns must still be placed in the Book Drops ONLY. No returns will be accepted inside the library.
At this point, we are only able to fulfill holds requests that are placed electronically on the Library’s catalog, at:www.catalog.mainlib.org or by calling the Library at 973-402-0900.
There is no delivery service between Libraries so if we do not own a book at this time we will not be able to obtain it for you from another Library.
To ensure the safety of both patrons and staff, please call the Library for an appointment prior to your coming to pick-up your items. Items will be checked-out to your Library card and placed in a bag and left on a table outside of the Library’s door with your name on it. When you call the Library for pick-up, a location of your bag will be given to you (for example, Table 1A, 1B or 2A or 2B). We cannot accommodate anyone who has not called us in advance.
