Resources for Kids, Tweens, & Teens

These websites provide excellent resources and content for kids, including homework help, practice problems, and more! 
  • Khan Academy. This website features an extensive library of K-12 subject guides and study materials, following common core as well as AP classes. After creating an account, students can use Khan Academy to supplement their learning and practice difficult concepts at home. Khan Academy also has resources for SAT/ACT test takers. 
  • ReadThinkWrite. This website focuses on literacy with resources to help improve students' reading and writing skills. 

Scholastic Reading Level Guide

Parents, teachers, and students can use the following resources from Scholastic to search for appropriately leveled books. 
  • Scholastic BookWizard. This tool displays Scholastic books by reading level (A-Z) and suggested grade level. Use this tool to search for titles appropriate for your child or student and then visit or contact the library at 973-402-0900 to see which books are currently available in the collection.
  • Scholastic Reading Level Conversion Chart. This chart displays Scholastic reading levels (A-Z) and their equivalent Lexile Levels and DRA Levels for students in grades K - 6.
